Bright Yellow Pillows

While browsing Instagram a few weeks ago I came across a gorgeous set of decorative pillows by HotelHome Australia, a company specializing in hotel decor. The bright yellow color instantly caught my eye and I knew I needed to recreate! Within my fabric stash, I found a polycotton fabric in yellow that happened to be a remnant purchased a few months ago. I used two  2″ wooden buttons from a peacoat I made last year and black bias tape for the trim. Since I ran out of piping cord, I substituted with bulky yarn!

With these items in my stash, I was ready to get sewing! If you’re interested to know how I made these pillows, click here. I used my tutorial for the floral pillows with piping detail. The only difference in this set is that I created a circular pillow and hand stitched a button in the middle of the square pillow.

Here’s the final look! Even though it’s fall, I love seeing this bright color in my home. When you see inspirational posts via Pinterest, Instagram, etc., do you try to recreate?
